The Fruit of Trust

Trust is the fruit of a relationship in which you know you’re loved.

William Paul Young

Trust. BusyCoaches know that it’s the foundation of successful teams, yet fostering it among a group of individuals with diverse life experiences can be a challenge.

Love. Most people think it’s a feeling, but it’s not. It’s a decision, a choice. Marriages that last are founded on this truth, because though the spouses may not feel love every single day, they choose to love and that keeps them together.

So how do you begin building trust on your team? Choose to love your players by staying committed to them even (and especially) when you don’t feel like it. They will mess up. They will make poor choices. To love means to hold them accountable and provide discipline while you continue to believe in them and their potential.

But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.  Psalm 13:5
